Where History Walks Beside You
Massachusetts packs more history per square mile than almost anywhere in North America. Follow the Freedom Trail through Boston and find yourself threading past cobblestoned burial grounds, gilded State House domes and the very harbour where colonists tipped tea into the water and changed the world. Every brick seems to have a story to tell, and somehow the city makes all of it feel alive rather than dusty.

Ideas, Innovation and Ivy
Cambridge sits just across the Charles River from Boston and holds two of the most storied universities on the planet within easy walking distance of each other. The neighbourhood buzzes with students, startups and Nobel laureates grabbing coffee at the same corner cafe. Wander the Cambridge Common, peer through iron gates at collegiate courtyards and absorb the electric hum of a place where new ideas are practically a local industry.
Coast, Capes and Cranberry Bogs
Head east and the Atlantic unfolds in spectacular fashion. Cape Cod curves out into the ocean like a beckoning arm, offering sandy beaches, whitewashed lighthouses and fishing villages where lobster boats still leave before dawn. Further out, the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket reward the short ferry ride with dramatic moors, art galleries and seafood so fresh it practically introduces itself.
The Berkshires and Four Seasons of Spectacle
Drift west to the Berkshires and the landscape shifts into rolling hills carpeted in forest. In autumn the foliage puts on a colour show that draws visitors from across the globe, all golds and crimsons tumbling down hillsides toward wooden covered bridges. Summer brings world-class music and theatre to Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow. Winter transforms the same hills into ski slopes, and spring arrives with wildflowers and the sweet smell of maple sugaring season in full swing.
