The World's Most Glamorous City-State
Perched on a sun-drenched rocky promontory between the Alps and the Mediterranean, Monaco packs more spectacle into two square kilometres than most countries manage across entire continents. Sovereign palaces, legendary casinos and a yacht-studded harbour conspire to make this tiny principality feel like a film set that simply refused to stop rolling.

The Pulse of Monte-Carlo
The Casino de Monte-Carlo remains one of the great theatrical buildings of Europe, its Belle Époque facades and chandeliered gaming rooms as thrilling to visit as they are to play. Nearby, the boutiques of the Carré d'Or and the terrace cafés of the Place du Casino offer prime people-watching at its most unapologetically extravagant.
Oceanography, Gardens and the Old Rock
Founded by Prince Albert I, the Musée Océanographique clings dramatically to the cliffs of Monaco-Ville and houses one of Europe's finest marine collections. Wander the Exotic Garden for sweeping coastal views, then lose yourself in the narrow medieval lanes of Le Rocher, where the Prince's Palace still hosts the daily changing of the guard.
Speed, Flavour and the Open Sea
Every May the streets of Monaco transform into one of motorsport's most celebrated circuits for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, a race whose hairpin bends and tunnel run through the heart of the city remain unlike anything else on the calendar. Beyond race season, the port is a gateway to the Ligurian coast, and the restaurants of the principality draw on Monégasque traditions of slow-cooked stews, socca and the finest seafood the Mediterranean can offer.
